abandoned house in Corrales, New Mexico

Handyman Special

These photos are from October 27, 2018

I've been shooting portrait sessions in the Corrales Bosque for ten years and I've always wanted to pull off Corrales Road and photograph this abandoned house but just never got around to it... until a couple weeks ago. The house is actually for sale but I think the intent is for the buyer to want the land and to bull doze this house which is well beyond redemption.

Things left in the kitchen window sill: broken glass, drain stopper from the sink, burner cover from the stove, a history textbook, and a spatula.

Weird green lens flare in this photo, but don't get too excited, it's just a reflection of the window.

Hi Madi,
As far as I know, yes, it's still there. If you want to see it, I would go sooner than later though. The house is about to completely collapse and there has been a "For Sale" sign on the lot for quite a while. I imagine that when the lot eventually sells, the first thing the new owners will do is demolish what's left of this abandoned house.
